    Dear people of FiWe Belize,

We are working on the cause to keep Belize GMO free. Please check the above mentioned website and tell me if you want to support our cause.

A few other questions. I came to this site looking for online Belizean petitions, since we are making one. I found the one against off shore oil drilling (http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/say-no-to-offshore-oil-exploration-in-belize.html) This lead me to your page.
When will you deliver this petition to GOB?
Did you set a quota? and if so how high, and does it include signatures from Non-Belizeans as well.
Do you think that GOB is interested in non Belizean signatures.
We are trying to work out the problems for our own petition, and were wondering if you had thought about these things and what your solutions were.

    Thanks and good luck,
    Naud Brouwer

I had mailed in a copy to the GOB but did not received a response. I am planning an sending it in to the media houses for them to publish if they so choose as well as send it via email form to the ministers and other org involved in the fight.

I would be more than happy to support the cause. I will create a page for posts pertaining to GMOs and start posting articles about it. If you want you can sign up for an account on the blog and I will grant you editor access so you can contribute as well.

Q – “Did you set a quota? and if so how high, and does it include signatures from Non-Belizeans as well.”
A – I did not set a quota as I wanted to collect as many signatures as possible, I did leave it open to anyone that was concerned about the issue so there more than likely are signatures of non-Belizeans on it.

Q – “Do you think that GOB is interested in non Belizean signatures.”
A – It is my opinion that the GOB could care less what anyone wants, they will find ways to get their way. That must not stop us from keeping the fight alive however.

Q – “We are trying to work out the problems for our own petition, and were wondering if you had thought about these things and what your solutions were.”
A – Not sure where the petition is hosted, but web exposure is a huge benefit. Are there any other groups that share in the same interests? I would say post on their sites so that your cause is exposed to more people.

    Thanks,
    FiWeBelize
