LibreOffice in ppa for Ubuntu 10.04 & 10.10
This is not via the official repositories but the ppa. There may still be issues with the install process or with the software. This will remove OpenOffice. We will be doing this via the command line.
- Remove OpenOffice:
sudo apt-get remove --purge openoffice*.*
- Add the Libreoffice ppa:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
- Update and install Libreoffice:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libreoffice
- Install spellcheck, remember to change your locale if you need a different language:
sudo apt-get install aspell aspell-en dictionaries-common myspell-en-us
