How to bypass network/internet blockages
I know everyone has this issue, either at work or via your isp. You try to go to a site or use a certain software and you get a page stating the site is blocked or another type of notification, not sure what BTL is doing on their end. I can see it for companies trying to lock out malware, viruses and such but for home use I don’t see why BTL is blocking traffic.
Well here is how to fix it and have your way. One of the easiest way to go is via the same method they use, a proxy.
What is a proxy you ask? A proxy is an application that is used in a server setup to get you to information you need without revealing your true identity or location. If you use it at you place of work, you company will see the proxy site you are visiting but not the site you are actually browsing to.
Everyone who has an Internet connection has an IP address, which in simple terms is your online ‘fingerprint’. By using a proxy server, your fingerprint will be hidden and changed to an anonymous one, essentially hiding your real identity, and in most cases you will virtually appear to reside in another country.
Configuring Your Web Browser
Firefox users go to (Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Connection Settings) and select “Manual Proxy Configuration”, and enter in an IP and Port from the list into the text boxes.
Internet Explorer users go to (Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Lan), select “use proxy server” and enter in an IP and Port from the list.
You can use one of the following ip’s, I will posting others soon and will keep updating the list as time goes by.
